The TA-70 noticeably is smaller than my VSH455 which itself is pretty much standard for a 335.

I don't recall what pickups went where any more. I suffer from CRS these days. :toopid:

I have shipping boxes on order. Naturally they were out when I needed them, and living where I do, it is at least an hours drive to the nearest music store for guitar shippers. I'll post when I have them in.

Wow, the 335 must be a monstrous size.

Join the club broski, I have STML (short term memory loss) which they say is due to smoking too much weed
when I was a kid. As if that is even possible. Anyway I think its rude to say no when someone passes a joint

Not to worry broski, the deal is in the bag anyway.

Again, I have to say I think the body size is pretty much identical between the the ta60 ta70 and ta100. Slight differences maybe. I have an gibby esartist and the lower bout is about the same but the upper bout is noticably smaller.

The ES335 is approximately 16" across the lower bout, and the TA-70 is just over 15". My VSH455 is just over 16" across the lower bout. The upper bout is in fact narrower on the TA-70 compared to an ES335 which makes it a little less cumbersome to play.

I have uploaded some up to date pics of the guitar. I will warn you now the are LARGE to allow for detail and scrutiny. As time permits I will put good pics up of all three for sale just before they are listed on eBay, but for now one by one...

The PE-60

Later the TA-70, then the PE-R80.

Okay, they will be off to eVilbay. Until they are listed I will still honor my first post in this thread, but once they are I will delete this thread. The listing drafts I've linked to also link to a page with much larger images.

I seriously urge anyone who has not tried a TA-70 from this era to consider it. I love mine so much that it is about the only electric I play. What ever happened to Jeffster? He was always looking for a quality.

I have a friend who has played small solid body guitars all his life. He finally added a Rainbow II to his collection and has fallen in love with it. I played it and it is a lot like the TA-70.

Somebody has to give this one a try!

Neal, I only hope that if it sells via ebay you get what it is worth (more than my gibby es artist  )

Usually I'm not a big fan of gold hardware, but I still like the Bigsby on the PE... anyway, I have officially run out of space (and have way too many guitars to begin with).

Btw. I will have to go to Chicago later this year... is there any easy way to reach "Absolute Stupidity, Missouri" from there... I may come over for a day or two.

You're always welcome here at the funny farm. :D

I'm a ways from Chicago. Google map Wentzville, MO and that will give you some idea.
