Greetings;

Guess I'll have to quit lurking & join up, because I don't seem to be able to make a contribution to this board NO HOW! (why does Oulook pop up every time I try to do this?) :x

Anyway, I noticed that the site administrators were looking for some info on the RS-750D guitars from 80-82. (I originally ran into this site just by googling for some info on my guitar) I've got one of these axes that I bought brand new in Saskatoon SK in the spring of 1982. It's a bit neglected right now; thanx to recent move & the fact that my Ephis have been getting most of the workouts lately. A recent move hasn't helped either, just haven't got around to unpacking a few things.

The guitar isn't "minty", but has been well looked after considering it's been played continuously for almost 30 years. (every scratch & nick has been well earned!) Still in it's original case (covered with a lot of 80's type decals) & still plays very nicely. LUV that neck! I can complain a little about the lack of sustain, & perhaps about the lack of clarity present in the OEM DiMarzio pickups, but overall it's a real comfy instrument. Great weight & balance. (I've actually come close several times to replacing the pickups, just never got around to it)

If nothing else, this site has convinced me to buy a new set of GHS Boomers, clean the old girl up, take some good pics, & send them along. I have all the original paperwork here as well (somewhere...I never throw anything out) as well as some brochures, promotional stuff, etc; that came when I bought the axe. I'll take some pics of that stuff too & post 'em up.

Hopefully, I can contribute something to the site! :hyper:

Hey Dave, welcome! Good to have an Albertan and another Canuck on board! :D
It'll be good to see your baby and particularly interesting to see the collateral literature.

Hey, I finally got a nite off, sort of...had to paint a couple fenders (car, not guitar) & after deleting a hundred shots of the housecats & teenage birthday parties made some room for what's REALLY important...pictures of my Aria RS! :hyper:

I hope I don't have any trouble uploading these; in any event I took them in the following order: the case the axe was delivered in, (covered with all the cheesy decals) & then the guitar in general and in detail. If anyone would like to see some specific area, please let me know.

Oh boy...after several hours of absolutely fruitless attempts at trying to upload these pics (or the file) I've given up...so has my girlfriend! She just spent another hour compressing these damned things & they still won't upload. :x

If anyone wants a go at this, tell me where to send the pics & we'll see if they can get resized to fit on the board.

Thanx in advance, Dave

PS: I've found some of the original paperwork for my axe, but am still looking for the advertising literature. 5 boxes left to go!

Thanks, bro - we love this stuff, eh!! Sorry to hear that the pix won't load; most of us in here, I suspect, upload to Photobucket - or a similar - site and then c+p the .img links into our posts here...

Ok let's see if I can do this without making a fool of myself (no need for comments from the nut house)
