Hello, I'm from Spain and I am the owner of a Quest guitar made in japan. I own the guitar since 1991 or 1992. I bought it secondhand.
I found this website and I was surprised that my guitar model does not appear anywhere here.
Indeed, I have not found any picture of this model across the Web. The model is Atak 3. I have no more information about it, only what you see. The pickups are active.
The serial number is F860015 so I guess that the guitar was made in 86 but I do not know for sure.
The Knobs are not original and the input jack is (bad) repaired 15 years ago :D .
Sorry for my poor English.
Greetings.

Hola,

Welcome. Don't worry about your English (seems fine to me). We have several members for whom English is a second language.

The Quest line is a bit of a mystery. Over time some information has come to light but it has not necessarily been added to the "models, labels, and specs" section. You could try doing a search in the Vantage section as Quest was at least at one time associated with that brand. More pictures are always welcome and sometimes help.

BTW you have a cool looking guitar.

Welcome.
Yes, a very cool looking guitar. "Feels" kind of post-Mats, Korean, to me.

Nice guitar!!

Yep, Quest is still a mystery,,, You have the Omega Pup marking just like the 85-86 Vantage pups....

I am still gathering information on the Quest line.

Maybe the guitar is post-Mats, but it is japanese . At leats "Made in Japan" is stamped in the serial number plate :P .

The guitar is fabulous. We've been together all my musical life, and many years passed before I knew what a good guitar is. I was very lucky to get my hands on it! :rockwoot:

Welcome Javibanshee!

Nice guitar with interesting shape!
Been available with maple neck too! Have a look at this one at ebay Estonia:

I second the production year 1986. Maybe made by Chushin/Japan - but we do have only little information concerning the Quest label.

J.
