I don't know if APII or Vantage et al used these, but Electra certainly did and one of the lads found these...

This might be where I got the knobs for my CS350. There is a difference though. Can anyone spot it?

Just sent Kees a set of the ones we get up here.
Approx same money, and as far as i´m concerned the ones we get are close enough.
Nope...they´r not EXACT,but as some of our cherished guitars at times lack the originals those will do for replicas, and seing what they cost... :look:

Number scale of these replicas are ever so slightly down on the grey scale vs the OEM parts, and they are lighter to say the least, but in general...they do the job.

Indeed, they're close enough for rock and roll. :jammin:
I almost hate to admit this but the first thing I noticed when I opened mine was that the notches don't line up with the numbers like the originals. And, no 2 are alike in this respect.

No big deal, but I noticed. . . :toopidlol:

I just received a set of notched knobs from an amazon seller called "MIJ Guitars". My TS-350 was missing one knob but I bought a set of four expecting to replace all. Well the match was so close I only put the one on. They look Identical and the notches are exactly above the numbers like the old ones and size is the same as well. shipping was really fast too. just over a week from Japan. Note they are metric.

Here are a couple pics:

the one on the left is the new knob.

sorry it looks like I already got a fingerprint on it + :o

Matsumoku has used these knobs for many VANTAGE models too. For example: AV325, VS600, VP700, VA800, VE470,...

AND: I agree with Jorg that the notch-number-positioning on the knobs does have a huge influence on the sound of the guitar!!!
