Hello there,

I wonder has anyone got, or know where I can get 2 volume and tone knobs for my Epiphone. I replaced the original ones marked T and V a while ago and put the originals somewhere safe! Hahaha. Can't find them now and I'm going to give it an overhaul to start gigging it again and I want the original knobs. any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Stephen

Pics, would be a great help, either originals or on a different guitar. If not, at least a description.

Hey Stephen, and welcome here. We might be able to help you out, but as RSBBass pointed out, you'll have to be a little more specific. Please do your research, and if you find the exact knobs you need, show them. Most regulars here have an extensive cabinet with spare parts, and will be happy to help a fellow board member out :)

Probably hard to find identical replacements.
The witch hat knobs only difference being the marking V and T.
All replacement witch hat I've seen are marked: volume (or) VOl. and TONE . like: http://store.vcguitars.com/collections/ ... silver-cap

Other thing to be aware of is if the split-shaft of the pots is 'metric' size! Yours probably are.
These here are not silver but gold but can be had rather cheap here

Don't pay too much for replacements. It's only plastic!

Thanks for the advice guys. The knobs I mean are shown in the you tube clip attached. they are witches hat, tapered at the top and only have V or T on , not volume and tone.

So any help or advice greatly appreciated

Thanks again

Stephen

Maybe it's the screen on my laptop (pretty small), but I've got quite a few that look like that ... witche's hat, V or T on top, mainly black ... silver or gold rims? Height? Radius of the base? There's loads of buttons like that around, all slightly (or sometimes VERY) different. Do you have at least one of the originals?

Hello GD, sorry I don't have any of the originals, well I do but goodness knows where. The numbers were white and tops were gold with the V and T, also they are more tapered and pointed than most knobs. The link below shows a bit clearer maybe?

In that case, if I were you, i'd pick the cheapest metrick set available that looks anything like the originals, OR go for a set of flashing Silver bullits and a genuine Bigsby trem bridge, making that Epi a real Hot-Rod. I did the same thing to a (black) Korean made Semi Hollow Vantage 335 model, and sold it pretty good.
