darn i should of said something on this but i think it's pretty crazy and cool that we all live somewhat close to each other . jorg lives in texas, i live in oklahoma, gribb lives in kansas and crusty lives in missouri. if you look at a map we make kinda a backwards 7 ha ha ha :lol: Ice Sucks!

Couldn't agree more on the "ice" comment. Missed any major trouble this time around, but a few years ago we were out of electricity for over a week,
and a tree ripped the power line off of the house. Hope you are fairing a little better down south!

Hey Gribb, how did that bridge compare height wise to the original? Maybe I missed it but did you fill in the old bridge rout?

Hi Jorg,

Yes, I filled in the bridge cavity with a piece of 1/4'' maple and it worked out about perfect. The screws for the saddles are extended pretty far, but it works out so there is no excess sticking out to gouge the palm of your hand.

You can line up the holes for the string-thru holes in the body, but in my case had to find a longer adjustment screw for one of the saddles to allow it to go forward enough to intonate properly.

IMO this works better than the original Ray bridge and I haven't noticed any loss of sustain. It's pretty rock solid.

Well, I've decided to reuse the Ray bridge. The one I have is very nice.
If it ever fails, I'll fill the hole. I was just looking at the height difference between the bridges and wondered how yours was working out.

Hey Gribb, did you use the ground plate in yours? If so, did you use long shaft pots?
