I've got a couple others whose origins I'm not certain of. I'm fairly convinced they are rebranded 'Cimar' guitars, and can't trace them to Fujigen, so I'm guessing they're Matsomoku. But that's why I love these forums, somebody out there will hopefully clue me in!
These are a couple of my all time favorite players - a Crestline ES and a Crestline LP style.
Both are set necks, the ES is 100% original (whoops - except for the Grover Imperials, but I ain't complainin'), the LP only had one original pup and three pots when I found her. (Both had 'Noble' brand pots, and pups that hint of Maxon). I'll have to dig for the pics of the pickup date stamps, but both are from the late 70s MIJ era, if I recall correctly.
Anyway - the LP I reworked into a crunch machine - jimmypage pushpull harness + some kind of Aria paf style pup in the neck, and a Red Rhodes velvet hammer in the bridge. I'm not fond of tootin' mah own horn, but.. this thing kiiiillz! (will eat a GibbyLP for lunch, breakfast, desert, and a midnite snack if need be)
