I'd say pretty much any kind of wood you can get in a thin enough piece. You won't need much.

Yep, sounds good. Thanks!

Anything is worth a try. A set of those saddles can't be much and if they're still not tall enough, slap a shim under the bridge and call it good.

Hey Splodger, where are you located? I might be interested in that B&G. . . :devil2:

I'm the the UK. I think the postage is likely to kill any deal though as you are the wrong side of the pond by the look of it...

...I messaged the seller and he told me that he used this saddle, Allparts product code: BP-2315-010 Chrome Saddles. But you'd have to buy two sets and the string spacing is too wide at 2 1/8 in. :bawl:

Yeah, the Mats saddle spacing is 10.5mm, often referred to as "import" size. That should be the first criterion. Any deficiency in height can always be shimmed eh?

I would think you could get a similar metric saddle. If I'm not mistaken, you could probably buy the entire bridge for less $ than you'd pay for a set of Allparts saddles.

I found some on ebay that I believe will work. I have not tried them myself so I cannot say 100% but, I'm tempted to buy a set just so I can. https://www.ebay.com/itm/6-Pieces-Genui ... 1438.l2649
You will still need to shim the plate to make up the height difference.

It's not really that bad. Once you get passed the fact, you'll never know the difference.
And, your guitar will be playable again.
Now, I'm quite fond of the CS guitars if you wanna send it to me. . . :devil2:

I did exactly this on a blue 350 recently. I bought Fender offset saddles. But as stated the saddle sit too low to get the strings to the proper height needed. So, I used a piece of an old credit card to shim the whole bridge piece up enough so the stings cleared.

Can you get extra long saddle screws and crank the height up? Would that even work (instead of shimming the bridge)?
