Here's an interesting one. I was watching a video that referenced the bass playing in this song with a short clip and noticed a CS bass.

I've heard OF them but, to my knowledge, never heard any of their music. I like the rawness of it.

A lot of bass players played SBs in the 80s :)

Marillion:

The Alarm:

(the camera guy didn't like bass players, so you have to watch for a while)

Finding Aria guitar players is more tricky. I remember seeing an Olivia Newton John video where one of her guitar players played a neck through RS. The guitar player should have been Buzz Feiten, her other guitar player was Michael Landau and he played a Strat. And yes, if you want to assemble a cool backing band you have to ask Olivia Newton John.

You weren't kidding, the camera guy musta hated the bass player.
There is a good shot of it at 9:22. Looks like an SB900?

I've not heard Marillion in a long time, always liked their stuff. I can't get a good enough shot to make out the model but I have a feeling its an SB600.

The Alarm bass player should have a SB-900.

The Marillion bass player plays an SB-1000 with the same color scheme in other you tube videos from the mid eighties... so my guess is that it's an SB-1000 in this video as well. I also like the Roland Synth guitar.

How about some Malmsteen? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBGYBoxOwao
I'm not a big fan but I know he endorsed Aria Pro II guitars for a short time. He looks to be playing a bone stock, uh, I mean, highly modified XX Deluxe and I believe that bass (0:57) is an SB Elite II?

This actually surprised me. I know Malmsteen endorsed AP2 for a bit but never expected to see a PE-R60 in his arsenal.
Check out 0:42. He even speaks well of Aria guitars.
