The ISBN number is for a Japanese book, that was printed around 15-20 years ago. Sometimes you can still find it 2nd hand.
Actually it’s part of a series of 8 books, dealing with all the different Japanese manufacturers. Even if you can’t read the text, the pictures of the old Japanese vintage guitars are the finest form of guitar porn. :D

I found this link https://www.ebay.com/itm/334573487537
for one of those books. Expensive, but maybe worth.
Thanks for all the info. Great help from the experts in this forum.
I'll post something on a non Matsumoku but Custom Shop made in Japan
PE-01 later. Great guitar as well.
Cheers.

That book in your link is actually not from the series I mentioned (even so it's the same publisher, that's a small pocket book format book). The pictures are great in that one too... but the B5 format books from the same publisher are what you should be looking for... https://paypayfleamarket.yahoo.co.jp/item/m505654581

The PE-01 is a seriously nice guitar. I was always looking for a PE-02, but the one time I found one, it slipped through my fingers. Anyway, I stopped buying guitars some years ago... I was never good at letting go... so I have too many already (GAS is a serious addiction and should be treated as such).

GAS is not an issue so long as you can find a nook or cranny to stick another in. What is it they say? He who dies with the most guitars wins?  :rockwoot:

Really curious about these PE-01 and PE-02 models. Any links or pics? I know I love my 450, R80s and R60. I learned my lesson the hard way and none will leave their hangers.

I hope the link works when pasted here: http://brochures.yokochou.com/guitar-an ... en_11.html

The PE-02 has f-holes and a trapeze tail piece. :D

OMG!!! Those are gorgeous!!! I've had a couple of trapeze guitars and was able to use lighter gauge strings on them due to the length between the anchor points. I currently have a Johnson LP sized full hollow with trapeze strung with 9s. Some may consider it junk but with the trapeze there is zero string rattle. It does a great Nugent but there again that dates me, right?

The PE-01 reminds me a lot of the PE-1000.

Yeah. Those two guitars, even though not Matsumoku, are great .Made in Japan at the Custom shop.
I got my hands on the PE-01. Great guitar, similar in looks to the PE1000, but sounds more like a PE-R80. Everything recessed, even the tuning heads!! Comes with Seymour Duncan's SH1N neck, and SH5 bridge. ( Not a fan of Duncan's.)
This is a link on a PE-02 I saw on Reverb some 2 years ago.

I'll post some photos of the PE-01 later.
Great to be here!!

Dang that's nice. I'd love to see pics of that PE-01 if you can.
